Kind Words from A General Contractor

Body Paragraph
We wanted to make sure we also shared this great referral from a General Contractor through our entry in ABC's Excellence in Construction.

"To whom it may concern,
I am happy to recommend Hampton Mechanical for the partnership that their team maintained with
Turner Construction while working on the Personalized Skin Solutions project.
Turner’s Pittsburgh office was contacted in 2020 by Personalized Skin Solutions to deliver their new
facility in this region, which was to be located in Findlay Township. This facility included a large
warehousing space, lab spaces, and commercial office space. The project was to be built using a unique
delivery method as the client had already contracted with an Architect, but they were requesting that
Turner provide Design-Build services for the MEP systems as part of our overall responsibility to deliver
the project from preconstruction through close-out.
In order to select the appropriate partner from a Design-Build standpoint, as it relates to the HVAC scope
of the project, our team issued an RFP to a number of HVAC contractors. In our review of the RFP
responses, it was immediately evident that the Hampton Mechanical team was the correct contractor to
partner with for this work. Their team clearly had a solid understanding of the scope of the project and
displayed all of the characteristics that our team would be looking for in a Design-Build partner on a
project of this complexity.
Throughout the course of both design and construction, our confidence in Hampton Mechanical only grew
stronger. Their team played a critical role in ensuring that the project budget could be maintained, which
ultimately allowed the project to move forward. During construction, both their onsite and offsite personnel
remained fully engaged from mobilization through project close-out, showing a willingness to serve the
client in every way possible.
This project was made up of a large array of stakeholders, including Turner, three Design-Build MEP
firms, a local structural engineer, and a client and architect based out of California. This wide variety of
team members led to the need for constant communication throughout the entire project. The project
would not have been the success that it was without Hampton Mechanical understanding this challenge
and delivering on it."
