About Hampton Mechanical: Our History
In 1989, Hampton Mechanical, Inc. opened its shop as a sheet metal contractor. It all started when Phil Boyd started the business and has since passed it down to his son, Jason Boyd. Fast forward 32 years, and you would see that we have become one of the best Pittsburgh mechanical contractors companies. We are proud of the work we do, and it is all thanks to our collaboration and teamwork. As a family-owned and operated company, we thrive on the success of our team and providing amazing service to our community. Not only are we a genuine, full mechanical contractor, we specialize in many other services. HVAC, in-house sheet metal fabrication, and design-build services, are just a few. As we have grown, our departments have as well. We perform jobs for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. If you can think of a job for us, we can get it done.
As well as servicing our community, we also help our team. Hampton Mechanical has upwards of 60 employees. Around 40 of them are out doing field work every day, getting these unique and challenging projects done.
We offer an accredited 4-year sheet metal apprenticeship program through ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors) and NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research). We also partner with A.W. Beattie Career Center to hire students from their HVAC program. These students learn beginner sheet metal and refridgerant piping while still enrolled in high school. We offer them full-time positions to continue their educations and careers post-graduation. We love seeing students learn and grow through our program and hope to help them succeed in the industry. Our technicians, journeymen, and project managers are all highly skilled at what they do and allow us to work on quality jobs that enhance and further our business's success.
